Newsprint, a timer, and yes, Hot Pink!

Above are some quick painting experiments with newsprint, a timer, and yes, HOT PINK!

I admit to having some adopted notions about what colors are acceptable in architecture and corporate interiors. Consequently, my love for painting asked for a different color mindset.

I didn’t know where the painting was going.
I just knew that Hot pink was involved.

Experience builds important structures on the creative road. But also, intuition, imagination, and curiosity are there for any artist seeking that magical portal to personal truth. Below is a quiet message that emerged for me while creating these pieces.

I like pink and pink likes me.
It’s time to own it.

At the time, it didn’t seem like a big deal.
But something did happen.
A door to a broader palette opened, and more importantly, it brought some creative confidence as well.

Moving closer to the places where you can embrace the things you love, even a color that speaks to you, is a secret truth to living with an abundant heart.

It starts with claiming the things you love.

Even the small things.

May the light of the Moon illuminate your life.
May the light of the Moon illuminate the wisdom within you.
And remember, if things don’t work out as expected,
there is information on the side we don’t see tonight, that carries unknown information. ©cwg
