Loving The Dark Side Of The Moon

“Loving The Dark Side Of The Moon”
Today is the *New Moon.
Also, this Newsletter is published today because of the New Moon. It’s scheduled monthly for the New and Full Moon to bring a conscious awareness of the Lunar Cycles.
When the Full Moon arrives, it wakes me up and interrupts my sleep patterns.
In the past, when this has happened, I’ve asked other women if they experience the same sleep disruption.
Some have answered “yes.”
And then we nod to each other in confirmation.
The moon has an effect on us.
The Full Moon however, is only half the story. Half the event.
There is another side of the Moon that is hidden, totally in the dark.
It’s the side we can’t see.
Tonight, it’s facing us but it’s not going to illuminate the dark.
It’s not going to make things visible.
It’s not going to show itself.
Yet… it is there.
It’s the New Moon.
And it holds secrets.
When this occurs, it brings about the ancient concept of opposites.
Light and dark, seen and unseen, spoken and unspoken,
anger and compassion, masculine and feminine.
Without one side, the other doesn’t exist.
So if you’re feeling like you’re “in the dark” about where your life is heading,
if you’re resistant to making a yes or no decision today,
if you would rather take a nap,
it’s OK!
Know that at this time, you’re supposed to be in the dark.
It’s the “not knowing” part of life’s experience. Consequently, it’s
also the place of possibility.
With nature’s beautiful and precise timing,
moon cycles repeat themselves.
I believe that through instinct,
we find our own rhythm in and around those cycles.
And when that happens, the inner voice speaks.
Let yourself rest.
Love that space in your self as it silently waits.
Watch for previously unseen possibilities.
In the meantime, your creative field is fed.
What a great way to self nurture.
Set aside the worry,
the speculation,
the attempts to make things happen,
the urgent call to find resolution.
Let go of the need to know everything immediately.
The New Moon gives permission to let intuition inform and action rest.
Women are good at this.
You are good at this.
Everything is going to be revealed in the right way at the right time.
The Full Illuminated Moon is significant.
The New Dark Moon is significant.
The integration of these opposites happens through you.
Instinct and intuition find the pattern, the code for navigating these cycles.
You are significant.
For today, rest in the dark silence.
Let the moon wisdom come to you.
With patience, let it grow in you, until it’s ready to show itself.
You are as important as the Moon that holds possibility.
