Busy women, hence all women, make lots of decisions every day. They’re good at it, and the process comes with expediency. Some decisions are easy. And then there are the important ones that require some searching within. In those instances, there are times when many women meet uncertainty, and resist committing to their decision. That’s because they feel a sense of risk, and naturally, they want to avoid disaster! The result is stress.
What is stress? Here is a simplified answer.
Stress is a reaction felt because of a perceived danger.*
Stress waits patiently to make contact with the imagination, and then builds potent barriers against your intentions. If negative ideas wander into your imagination, they could hold back any action toward decisions you may want to consider.
Instead, move toward what you want with this helpful truth within yourself:
“You have the power to choose how to use your imagination.”
A positive pivot is to approach it with a relaxed mind.
If worry occupies the mind, causing anxiety and that inner reaction to give up your plans, then relaxation is the opposite.
During relaxation, the mind has a chance to recover energy. This helps the imagination become a place where restoration and healing can be found.
Unexpected answers that feel better arrive.
Clarity shines through as thoughts begin to simplify.
Stressful reactions soften as the body slows down with breathing.
The more you interact with your inner mind in ways that are calm and relaxed, the easier it will be to find wellness, creative solutions, and wisdom underneath the everyday mind.
Learning how to use your imagination through purposeful relaxation techniques is one part of the Guided Imagery experience. It’s soothing, it’s easy, it’s helpful. And those decisions mentioned earlier? They find their way to a more confident path forward.
