Syncing with the Lunar Cycles

This letter to you is actually one day late. The Full Moon was actually yesterday. The dates I had transcribed for the New Moon and Full Moon on my Apple calendar were incorrect.

Immediately responding with a pause, as if sitting on the side of an unknown remote road, I reach for my metaphorical map, and my compass.

My schedule, which is the map, and the Moon cycle, which is my compass, are the tools I have planned to use to track my journey through the year. Everything is supposed to flow naturally. My route through the year has been charted with the help of nature. It’s an exciting project aimed at realigning my energies with the Moon.

Sounds beautiful, doesn’t it?

The hidden side of Full Moon, the dark side we don’t see at this time waits patiently with a sly grin on her face. There is a big lesson that is going to be illuminated here.

My intention to sync this newsletter schedule with the moon cycles is not as automatic as I thought it would be.

Even though I’m at times visited by the Moon, that expected rhythm hasn’t synced.
Note the word “expected” here.

The truth is, my map and compass are not creating more flow to my schedule or somehow rearranging my awareness or advancing my journey. That’s going to require more intentional action, or maybe even some intentional waiting as I

stop long enough
on the road,
look up,
watch the Moon,
and let her lead lead the way.

The message may have something to do with personal timing.
Have you had any plans lately that have not taken shape as intended?

On some occasions, I will happen to be out in the evening and “surprise,” there’s the Full Moon. It’s like a visitation.

“Oh, it’s a full Moon tonight!”

Always I’m grateful to be out with her, under the spell of her light.  But then, other months go by and I don’t see the light of her. Sometimes I feel her instead. I wake up in the middle of the night. (I know I’ve written about this experience previously). And sometimes there is no conscious awareness.

Making life consciously sync with the Moon is going to take some practice.

Sometimes life requires that, doesn’t it?
Especially when it comes to expectations.

Even though the syncing of the lunar cycles with my schedule hasn’t felt natural, the magic of the Moon still shows up.

Lessons around the energies that affect us are still to come. I’m going to be patient with this quest of syncing my life with the moon. And I encourage you to find the individual route the moon has chosen for you too.

In light of this Full Moon, even with this writing a day late, go ahead, take a long look at Lady Moon and feel her support. Feel her inside of you. She is always blessing us women with her work.

And now, as I write , I remember a link that came across my screen. It’s here if you’re interested. It’s a NASA calendar of the Lunar cycles on a daily basis. There are lots of Moon calendars out there to choose from. This is just one of hundreds.

May the light of the Moon illuminate your life.
May the light of the Moon illuminate the wisdom within you.
And remember, if things don’t work out as expected,
there is information on the side we don’t see yet, that carries unknown information.
