What is Guided Imagery?

Guided Imagery is a safe and easy method that will help you embrace the power of imagination and your intuition. With calm relaxation, insightful information, ideas for results and solutions you are seeking become available. When you connect your mind and body using gentle processes that combine images with the senses, relaxation techniques, artistic expression, and storytelling, new avenues open up for a path forward into your future with confident inner knowing.

Each personalized session will be designed with your unique needs & desires in mind. While in a relaxed state, new information becomes available, bypassing the everyday mind to new answers hidden in the subconscious mind within.

Susan began her journey with a desire to lose weight.

Susan’s imagery, a can of diet coke, symbolized the belief that refills and low-cal convenient foods would bring success for weight loss and how she felt about herself. With that false belief, her goal for losing weight wasn’t happening. She realized that “filling up” is not the same as “fueling up” with better choices for herself. In that moment, self acceptance led to her return to painting and writing a memoir which gave her energy and fulfillment, along with weight loss and better food choices.

Aimee was looking for direction in her creative endeavors.

Aimee felt like something was holding her back from her creative life. Her disappointing book launch left her questioning everything. Her symbology, a stone slab table, showed her that sacrifice is letting go of old beliefs about how things “should” be. Her large table imagery reminded her of an altar for creativity. “Let go of expectations, this is your spot!” was the message. That permission from her higher mind motivated her to set up an art space and begin new creative projects.

No. Your goal is discussed and agreed upon prior to imagery. Your imagery is individualized for you and your specific request. During the session you have full awareness. The subconscious mind is your protector. You will take only positive suggestions that you morally and intellectually agree with.

Yes. All religions are compatible with image hypnosis and guided imagery as it is simply using the imagination for a positive result.

All religious groups (with the exception of Seventh Day Adventists and Christian Scientists) accept hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. Some faiths even use a form of self-hypnosis (such as meditation) as part of their rituals.

That is OK! Imagery is perceived by using the senses in a multitude of ways and is not limited to seeing an image.

Hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of inner-focused attention. Your conscious mind relaxes and your subconscious mind becomes open to positive suggestions. We go ‘in and out’ of hypnosis many times during the day, especially right before falling asleep and upon waking in the morning. We are often in a state similar to ‘hypnosis’ while we watch a movie or drive a car. (Have you ever arrived at your destination and forgotten most of the drive home? Or become so involved in a movie that your body responds physiologically to it though it’s not ‘real?’) These are subtle forms of hypnosis. While stage hypnosis is used for entertainment, therapeutic hypnosis, called hypnotherapy, is used to assist a person toward a desired goal.

No. This method is for people from all walks in life including sports, corporate positions, writers, teachers, therapists, moms, entrepreneurs, and artists . Art is there for those who want to explore that aspect but is not required for successful, effective results.
